A great opportunity to learn and perform fun dances to a variety
of musical styles.

Rhythm in your shoes offers some charming dance programmes giving students an appreciation of a range of dance forms, overlayed with a different theme each term.

Students have the opportunity to taste some of the basic elements of ballet, jazz and latin dance forms and have fun with some disco moves, with the objective to encourage and improve upon dance basics. They will explore dance movement both locomotive and non locomotive in each dance style.

Rhythm in your shoes believes it is important for students to develop an enjoyment for dance without the added pressure of taking examinations. This is a time to enjoy their dance discovery. Children will often find their dance passion in their own time until then, they will will be developing their physical strength, co-ordination, self esteem, posture and rhythmical appreciation. Discovering the ways in which their body moves, exploring creativity and space awareness.

Rhythm in your shoes students have the opportunity to take part and perform in our annual dance recital. Participation is optional however, the additional skills your child will learn regarding performance and the confidence your child will gain is very worthwhile and above all, there are always lots of smiles - children love show time!
